The University of St Andrews boasts stunning, historic venues for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
St Salvator’s Quadrangle is in the ancient heart of the University, its 15th Century Chapel dominates the St Andrews skyline. Situated in St Salvator’s Quadrangle is Upper College Hall and holds a license for civil ceremonies accommodating up to 152 guests. St Salvator’s Chapel offers a truly beautiful setting for larger wedding ceremonies whilst St Leonard’s Chapel offers a unique mediaeval setting for more intimate ceremonies.
The impressive Lower College Hall, which lies across the lawns from St Salvator’s Chapel, is the perfect setting for exclusive wedding receptions and prestigious events. Lower College Hall can accommodate up to 152 guests for a wedding reception and on summer days the manicured lawns provide a beautiful setting for drinks receptions and wedding photographs.
Upper College Hall, which can be reached via a grand staircase, provides a wonderful venue for those wishing to dance the night away. It boasts a large dance floor, an oak bar and an in-built PA system.
Another historic venue, in the centre of the town is Parliament Hall. Once home to the Scottish Parliament, it features a grand oak paneled interior, accommodating up to 100 guests for drinks receptions and finger buffets.
