Old Town Chambers

"Just had a long weekend away in Edinburgh. Old Town Chambers perfectly placed just off The Royal Mile and only minutes from Waverley Bridge (where the airport bus stops). Rooms extremely well set out, spotlessly clean and on the second night we transferred to the 2-bed penthouse with balcony and views over to Princes Street. Did not want to leave! Modern interior with a major refurb recently to resurrected an old building. Love the flexibility of your own kitchen / dining area in the rooms, but still has a Concierge service in reception with very helpful staff. Edinburgh old town has lots of steep hills and steps so make sure you take comfortable shoes and have a list of all the 'watering holes' to stop at when your feet start to ache. First time to spend a weekend in the city and it is now top of my list for a re-visit to spend longer. Even in February, plenty to do and see and found everyone very friendly. Will return to the Old Town Chambers and hope it will not be too long before we can visit again. Room Tip: Pay the extra for a penthouse if you can, but I doubt that you will be disappointed with any of the apartments. "
